Jingdezhen Blue-and-White Porcelain, renowned as the "Gem of Ceramics", involves six essential crafting stages:
1. Material Selection & Body Shaping - Premium kaolin clay is processed through levigation, sedimentation, and kneading to form delicate bisque;
2. Pattern Design - Artisans outline motifs with specialized cobalt pigment brushes on the unfired body;
3. Gradient Coloring - Applying "five-tone differentiation" technique to create ink-wash painting effects through varied cobalt concentrations;
4. Glaze Application - Evenly coating transparent glaze to form vitreous protective layer;
5. High-Firing Process - Single firing at over 1300°C in reduction atmosphere;
6. Quality Inspection - Rigorous examination of glaze luster, decorative patterns, and form integrity to ensure its "jade-like white, mirror-like bright, paper-like thin, and chime-like resonant" signature quality.
The distinctive underglaze cobalt blue decoration becomes permanently fused beneath the glaze layer through this process, maintaining chromatic stability for millennia.
(All of our ceramic products are purely handmade, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, making each piece unique.
